Spring Events 2017

Announcing our exciting programme of public events across the West of England this Spring.

As the first signs of Spring start to appear, we have been busy putting together a fun and varied programme of events that will bring our team out and about across the West of England region in the coming months. From digital exhibitions to roadshows, family fun to workshops, there are plenty of opportunities to join in at a place near you.

 

Family Fun

We kick off our Spring Events programme in February half-term at The Museum in the Park, Stroud:

Wednesday 15th February, 2-4pm. Join in the Miniature Museum fun and meet our team. Read more here.

 

Local Heritage Roadshows

Join us at our series of Spring roadshows across the West of England to find out about your local heritage and share your knowledge with us.

  • Bring in your memories and photos to share on the day.
  • Meet local experts and our friendly project team.
  • Explore your neighbourhood’s heritage on Know Your Place.

Saturday 25th March – Dean Heritage Centre, Soudley, 12pm – 3pm – Putting the Forest on the map! Read more here (Please note this date has changed).

Saturday 1st April – Radstock Museum, 12pm – 3pm  – Putting Radstock on the map! Read more here.

Saturday 8th April – The Bishop’s Palace, Wells, 1pm – 4pm – Putting Wells on the map! Read more here.

Saturday 22nd April – Chippenham Museum, 10am – 1pm – Putting Chippenham on the map! (Please note this time has changed)

Touring Exhibition

February – we are currently on display at: Dean Heritage Centre, The Museum in the Park, Weston Town Hall and Bradley Stoke Library.

March to April – We will be on display at: Salisbury Cathedral, Bishop’s Palace, Radstock Museum and Yelde Hall Chippenham Museum.
